Recently I've been using the time between class and before I go to bed to work on Drinklogs, a site to track my drinking. This initially started from my desire to track all of my drinks when other sites want detailed reviews of each beer. I'm not really qualified enough to put my opinions up like that.
Right now you can make an account, new producers and beverages then track your drinks. It's mostly stable at this point although there are some character encoding issues that I'm working with.
You can check out my profile to see what it looks like with data.
Ooo pretty sparklines.
Oh I mean... it can tell you how much you drink on average and is quite an interesting experiment.
I have a few friends and family on it at the moment and I'm hoping I can build this into something more people can use.

I've written a small service to import your weekly Last.fm artists into your Songkick 2.0 trackings. If you would like to try it out head over to here.
Each week( Monday or so ) you should have trackings for artists with at least 3 plays.

Due to some unfortunate events and me not caring too much, a few posts were lost. I could go get them through Google Reader, but that probably isn't happening.

Pete told me earlier in the week that we would go out to dinner then to The Dove for my birthday party Friday night.
Friday morning after show & tell, while everyone was still in the room, Pete gave me a card from everyone and Jodi brought in my present, 22 beers!
There were also some awesome cupcakes.
After work we went to the Ten Bells, as usual. Once a few more people showed up started walking to, as I was told, one of the more authenticate Chinese restaurants in London.
Michelle ordered for the table knowing that I wanted to try some interesting menu items.
Chicken and peanuts
Fish and chilli, which was quite dangerous as there were still bones in it.
I think it was chicken. Behind it were cucumbers and tripe.
There were also some awesome twice fried green beans as well as the most amazing eggplant I've ever had.
After dinner Pete, Devin, and I headed off to The Dove. I got a nice golden ale Satan's Gold. Devin arrived slightly after us as he had to pick up some stuff from work but wasn't allowed in.
It was about a 45 minute walk back to my flat which I was able to make without getting lost. I picked up my beers from Songkick as well, which are quite heavy.

Phil mentioned today that it was Pancake Day. I'd never heard of it before and didn't think much of it, but thinking back it definitely makes sense about IHOP giving away pancakes today.
I was looking for dinner and since the kitchen was a little bare today I planned on some eggs. Gideon suggested pancakes instead, which I've never made before.
After a quick check online for the recipe Gideon and I started assembling everything. I learned the pancakes I grew up with are about 10x as thick as English pancakes. The ones we made were nearly crepes by my guess but considered thick for the others in the office.
Gideon making pancakes.
Me making pancakes.
A flattering picture of people eating our pancakes.
We nearly finished the eggs and milk, but definitely a memorable first Pancake Day!
P.S. Happy Birthday BJ

Thursday Ian mentioned a free show on Friday during lunch hosted by Bandstand Busking. The group gets bands to play at the local, mostly unused bandstands throughout London.
On Friday at about 12:40ish Ian rounded up everyone in the office who wanted to go, which turned out to be all but two people ( I think ). This bandstand was only a ten minute walk from the office so we arrived shortly before 1PM.
The band started playing after another 15 minutes or so once a few more people showed up and the organizers could set up some camcorders and decent microphones.
They played 4 or 5 songs which were really good with plenty of banter between songs. At the end of the set the promoter asked that we wait till they put up their recordings before anyone in the audience. I was expecting they to say it would be up this weekend, maybe Monday, but they said 3 weeks. Yeah. Good luck. I'm pretty sure I would find the internet within 3 weeks.
All together, a great experience. The Black Lips will be playing in Philadelphia, but like most bands I want to see, it will be before I return from London.
